Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and submitting accurate claims to insurance companies, government payers and patients
- Reviewing patient accounts and verifying insurance coverages
- Resolving claim denials, rejections and payment discrepancies
- Posting payments and adjustments to patient accounts
- Maintaining compliance with all federal and state regulations including HIPAA
- Communication with patients regarding billing inquiries and providing excellent customer service
- Collaboration with other team members to ensure efficient workflow

Requirements
A key job requirement is prior experience in medical billing. This role requires accuracy and compliance, proficiency in billing software, databases or other financial tolls and a strong willingness to learn. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and experience with EPIC or another electronic EMR system also preferred.
