Role Description The Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Renaissance Reno Downtown Hotel & Spa in Reno, NV. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of group, and leisure accounts, developing and executing sales strategies to meet revenue targets, and building long-term relationships with clients and partners. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, preparing proposals and contracts, conducting site inspections, and coordinating with operations, events, and revenue management teams to ensure seamless service delivery. The Sales Manager will track performance metrics, maintain accurate records in sales systems, participate in local networking events and trade shows, and regularly report on market trends, competitive activity, and sales results. Collaboration with the wider hotel team to create compelling packages and promotions that align with brand standards is essential.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in hotel or hospitality sales, including managing sports, leisure, education or other group accounts and meeting revenue goals.
- Strong skills in client relationship management, negotiation, and contract closing, with a focus on long-term partnerships.
- Proficiency in sales planning, forecasting, and reporting, including the use of CRM or sales management tools.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities, including handling multiple accounts, deadlines, and priorities.
- Knowledge of local and regional market dynamics, hospitality industry trends, and competitor landscape is highly beneficial.
