What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Design Assistant position at Renaissance Remodeling?
We are an award-winning Design-Build home remodeling company looking to bring another Design Assistant to our growing team. We are seeking a candidate who is creative, motivated, and highly knowledgeable about residential design. The ideal candidate will be a team player who can positively and effectively communicate with our design team, production team, clients, and subcontractors. We are looking for someone who is passionate about their role in a competitive and constantly evolving industry.
Design Assistant roles include but are not limited to:
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Taking incoming calls from potential and return clients.
· Schedule and meet with Clients / Sub-Contractors /Vendors
· Direct Assistance with designers
· Putting together project binders for Designers & Superintendents
· Preparing Presentation materials for potential projects
· Helping manage budget for projects and/or potential projects.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Creativity- the ability to generate new ideas and solutions.
· Communication – with clients and other team members. Conveying information in a way that is easy to understand for parties involved. Good communication skills to help collaborate with others on the project.
· Organization – the ability to complete tasks on time. The ability to manage your time and responsibilities effectively.
· Problem-solving – responsible for creating a design from start to finish. Finding solutions to issues that arise during the design process.
· Strong attention to detail
· Excellent computer skills required for Microsoft Office
· Valid Driver’s License
Education and Experience:
Education and Experience is an either/or with either Education or Experience.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Fine arts, interior design or another related field.
· Experience with Software including Chief Architect, Paint Shop, CorelDraw, Real Time, 3D Home.
· Certified Interior Designer (NCIDQ)
· National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) Certification
· National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) Certification
· (OR) Minimum experience in like field 6 – 12 months
