Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Part-Time Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. This position is ideal for someone looking for occasional, part-time work, with a regular schedule on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, along with additional driving opportunities as needed.

In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, debris, and other bulk loads to various job sites. Your expertise in truck driving, route management, and load handling will ensure timely deliveries while upholding our commitment to safety and efficiency.

This is a part-time position with a regular schedule on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, along with additional hours as needed based on operational demands. Candidates should have a flexible schedule and be willing to work additional shifts when opportunities arise.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company dump truck as assigned to transport materials, debris, equipment, and supplies between job sites and designated locations.
• Coordinate with supervisors and team members regarding transportation schedules, delivery timelines, and project needs.
• Keep the vehicle clean and presentable, both inside and out, and ensure all required equipment is stored properly
• Demonstrate professionalism and courteous conduct when interacting with residents, vendors, contractors, and members of the public.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or maintenance concerns.
• Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while operating company vehicles.
• Respond to transportation needs on an as-needed basis and remain flexible to support operational demands across multiple project sites.
• May be required to occasionally operate a company tow truck to transport vehicles, equipment, or materials as needed to support business operations.

Experience

• Proven experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles such as tractor-trailers or roll-off trucks in a commercial setting.
• Familiarity with manual transmission truck operation is essential.
• Prior delivery driver experience involving freight loading/unloading and route driving is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of different trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and freight containers enhances versatility.
• Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts safely when loading or unloading cargo.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures related to trucking operations and cargo handling regulations.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements; experience with tractor-trailer driving is a plus.
