This position is responsible for the day-to-day management of a managed community. Manages occupancy and monthly financial performance for the property. Maintains positive working relationships with all residents, resident family members, employees, and the business community.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise, direct, and motivate staff. Maintain superior training and morale. Ensure training programs are effectively executed.
- Maintain a high degree of resident satisfaction and retention through consistent delivery of high-quality services. Provide leadership for staff and residents to proactively solve problems and resolve issues.
- In conjunction with the Executive Director, develop annual operating and capital budgets. Aggressively anticipate and minimize negative budget variances and deficits. Meet and exceed budget occupancy goals for the property. Continually explore means of revenue enhancement and expense reduction.
- Hire, train, discipline, and terminate employees in accordance with company policies. Review hires promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations of employment of associates, ensuring consistency in the selection and retention of quality personnel.
- Ensure buildings, grounds, and property are up to company standards through the oversight of preventative maintenance systems and programs, and frequent inspections that meet company standards of excellence.
- Maintain current departmental policies, procedures, and licenses in accordance with company, Federal, State, and local requirements.
- Conduct Department Head meetings on a weekly basis. Conduct quarterly associate meetings to review safety on all aging issues and building issues. Conduct quarterly residential meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements:
- Must have compassion for and desire to work with seniors!
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Gerontology, Business or related field preferred.
- State license as a nursing home administrator and/or Assisted Living License preferred.
- Two to four years of proven management experience in retirement housing, hospitality, or health care is required.
- Strong understanding of legal requirements impacting skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, sound business practices and approaches for analyzing general and specific operational issues, and appropriate methods for hiring, training, evaluating, motivating, and disciplining personnel.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
