The Opportunity: The Breakfast Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to members and guests during breakfast operations. This position ensures a welcoming dining experience by delivering attentive service, accurately taking and processing orders, preparing and serving breakfast beverages, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout service areas, and upholding the Club's standards of hospitality and professionalism.
Duties And Functions
- Greet members and guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner, creating a welcoming dining experience.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and ensure timely delivery of all menu items.
- Provide attentive and personalized service throughout the dining experience.
- Prepare and serve breakfast beverages, including coffee, tea, juices, mimosas, Bloody Marys, and other approved menu items in accordance with Club standards.
- Accurately enter orders and process transactions through the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Verify the accuracy of customer checks, charges, gratuities, and applicable taxes.
- Maintain responsibility for all assigned customer checks and report any discrepancies to management immediately.
- Ensure food and beverage items are served according to established quality and presentation standards.
- Set up dining areas prior to service and ensure all stations are fully stocked and prepared.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of breakfast beverage ingredients, garnishes, and service supplies throughout the shift.
- Reset and maintain dining room tables, chairs, service stations, and related equipment throughout the shift.
- Participate in the continuous cleaning and upkeep of dining and service areas.
- Attend pre-shift meetings and training sessions as requested.
- Respond promptly and professionally to member and guest requests, concerns, and special accommodations.
- Communicate member and guest feedback or service concerns to management.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Support special events, functions, and banquet operations as assigned.
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with all Club policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous restaurant, club, resort, hotel, or hospitality service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and dining room operations.
- Basic bartending experience preferred.
- Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices.
- Ability to prepare and serve simple alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Ability to provide exceptional guest service in a professional and courteous manner.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to accurately handle transactions and operate a Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and carry trays or service items throughout a shift.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Reliable attendance, teamwork, professionalism, and dependability.
