What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Engineer position at Renaissance Design Build, Inc?
Responsibilities:
- Project Support: Assist senior engineers in the planning, design, and execution of various civil engineering projects including site design, structural engineering, building design, project regulatory permitting, subdivision design, and other infrastructure developments.
- Design and Drafting: Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools to create detailed drawings, plans, and specifications for projects under the guidance of senior engineers.
_ Site Inspections: Participate in site visits and inspections to assess project progress, verify compliance with engineering standards, and identify potential issues or improvements.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Gather relevant data and conduct engineering calculations to support design decisions and project evaluations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all engineering designs and projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and standards.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including architects, environmental specialists, and construction manager, to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Research and innovation: Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in civil engineering to contribute fresh ideas and innovative solutions to project challenges.
- Health and Safety: Maintain a strong commitment to safety by following company safety protocols and promoting a safe work environment for all team members.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution. Applicants with other Engineering degrees will be considered.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and familiarity with engineering analysis tools. Knowledge of industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar programs is preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem solving abilities to address engineering challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Team Player: Willingness to work as part of a team and learn from experienced professionals to continuously improve engineering skills.

- Licensure: While not required for entry-level positions, possession or progress towards obtaining an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.
