Position Summary:
The Shop Attendant plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the tennis facility. This position ensures that courts are prepared and maintained, assists members and guests with their needs, and helps create a welcoming and organized environment for all racquet sports activities.
Daily Duties Include:
- Wipe off all tables, chairs, benches
- Empty all garbage cans
- Check all clocks on courts
- Fill drinking cups and straws
- Check both bathrooms & stock as needed
- Report anything needed to Tennis Pro
- Wipe indoor tennis center counters
- Windex both glass entry doors
- Check emails and reply back to senders
- Return any missed calls
- Make reminder calls for next day lessons
- Update week in advance lesson sheet
- Check court reservation schedule
- Put golf cart away and lock shed door
- Turn AC to 75 before leaving
- Lock all doors including outside closets
Key Responsibilities:
· Greet members and guests courteously, providing assistance with court assignments, reservations, and general inquiries
· Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the sports courts, including sweeping, lining, and removing debris, as needed with maintenance
· Set up courts with necessary equipment such as ball baskets, water, and towels
· Monitor court usage and enforce club rules and dress code policies
· Assist with programs, lessons, clinics, and events by setting up equipment
· String and re-grip racquets (if trained), or facilitate service requests with the pro shop
· Keep areas (courts, lounges, and restrooms) neat and well-stocked
· Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to management promptly
· Process all billing transactions and record keeping for the sports clubs activities
· Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive member experience
· Assist with pro shop operations such as merchandise organization or basic sales
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· Prior experience in a country club or recreational setting is a plus
· Basic understanding of sports rules and etiquette
· Friendly and professional demeanor with excellent communication skills
· Physically able to lift and move equipment, and work outdoors
CPR/AED certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
