Position Overview
As an In-Home Caregiver (Homemaker), you will provide essential daily care and companionship to clients in their homes, helping them maintain independence and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinence care)
- Provide mobility assistance (transfers, walking, positioning)
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if needed
- Perform light housekeeping (laundry, cleaning, organizing)
- Provide transportation and run errands as needed
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Follow care plans and document services in the Personal Attendant Log (PAL)
- Monitor and report changes in client condition
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (preferred)
- Current auto insurance
- CPR certification (required) but we can train
- Must pass WV CARES (background screening)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift 26 lbs and push/carry up to 50 lbs
