- Set up and operate a variety of machinery and equipment such as manual lathes, mills, grinders, hand tools, and power tools.
- Proficient at operating a manual lathe including but not limited to single point threading and operating a manual mill.
- Must be proficient at the fundamentals of cutting - speeds and feeds, blade selection, etc.
- Verify accuracy of machined parts against blueprints or engineering drawings by measuring with inspection tooling and gauges.
- Maintain tools, gauges and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
- Perform routine machine maintenance.
- Working knowledge of conversational programming.
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD software, Solidworks preferred.
- Proficient at CAM software, Mastercam preferred.
- All other tasks assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset.
- Manual Machining: 3 years (Preferred).
- Have own machinist tools.
- Ability to follow verbal and written work instruction.
- Ability to effectively understand and operate within safety guidelines and policies.
