Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies that support organizational growth, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), and IAS (International Accounting Standards).
- Lead budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and cost control initiatives to optimize resource allocation.
- Manage all aspects of corporate accounting functions including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, cost accounting, and cash flow analysis.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements for governmental agencies and non-profit organizations where applicable.
- Conduct risk analysis to identify potential financial exposures and develop mitigation strategies.
- Oversee treasury management activities including investment management, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.
- Provide strategic insights through detailed financial analysis to support business development efforts and investment decisions.
- Lead the preparation of financial reports, interpret complex financial data for executive decision-making, and communicate findings clearly across departments.
- Supervise finance teams responsible for technical accounting tasks such as ASC 606 revenue recognition, accrual accounting, and bookkeepings.
- Maintain rigorous internal controls to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and safeguard organizational assets.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure adherence to all relevant compliance standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes utilizing advanced financial software systems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in senior financial leadership roles with extensive knowledge of corporate finance, risk management, and strategic planning.
- Demonstrated expertise in IAS, IFRS, GAAP, public accounting standards, and regulatory reporting frameworks.
- Strong background in governmental accounting as well as non-profit accounting practices.
- Proficiency in financial software applications including ERP systems; familiarity with balance sheet reconciliation tools is essential.
- Deep understanding of technical accounting concepts such as ASC 606 revenue recognition and accrual accounting principles.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial reports accurately.
- Excellent leadership qualities with a track record of managing diverse teams effectively.
- Strong communication skills capable of translating technical data into actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced certifications such as CPA or CMA are highly desirable.
- Experience in risk analysis, budget development, forecasting, investment management, cost control strategies, and compliance management.
