Job Summary
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) manages front-desk operations including greeting customers, scheduling appointments, discussing recommended services, and coordinating communication between customers and technicians.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers in person and by phone in a professional, positive manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the daily workflow of the shop
- Create and update repair orders; maintain detailed and accurate customer records
- Explain recommended services and obtain approval for estimates
- Communicate with technicians to provide updates on vehicle status and timelines
- Process payments, invoices, and warranty information
- Assist with customer concerns and escalate issues when necessary
- Keep the front office clean, organized, and welcoming
Qualifications
- Customer service experience required (automotive experience preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills; ability to learn shop management software
- Professional appearance, punctuality, and excellent attention to detail
Preferred Skills
- Experience in an auto repair shop, dealership, or service-based business
- Familiarity with automotive terms and services
