Shop Assistant Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this job is interested in learning about fast cars, and lives close to the Auburn area. He or she is in school or recently completed school, and likes a fast paced environment. Experience in fixing cars is not necessary, but can be helpful when performing tasks like processing parts or retrieving a tool for a technician.

Shop Assistant Duties/Job Description
- Clean shop. Sweep, mop, take out garbage. Check in with technicians to see if they need anything.
- Process parts returns daily. We order from many different parts providers, and parts that aren't used need to be returned and credited accurately.
- Help push dead cars. The nature of our business is fixing cars that don't run. You must be able to help push, steer, park, jump start, and otherwise operate cars that don't start. We will teach you how, you just have to be able and willing to do it.
- Pickup and Dropoff Clients/Parts. You must be presentable and professional when representing us while shuttling clients to and from the shop. Sometimes you will need to pick up or return parts in person. You are expected to always represent our shop professionally when away from our location.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop (floors, work areas, etc.)
- Perform vehicle scans and assist with basic inspections
- Install/remove floor mats and help prep vehicles for service
- Provide support to technicians and front office staff
Shop Assistant Requirements
- Must have a valid WA driver license. We require a copy of your driving record from the DOL when you get hired for insurance purposes.
- Must have your own reliable transportation.
- Must have a phone that is able to download apps for work (Slack, Tekmetric).
- Must be a self starter that stays busy even when not asked.
Compensation
The job starts at $25 per hour. If you are an all-star, and you are worth more compensation, lets talk about that. I like nothing better than giving raises to people that deserve them. Our crew is all gas no brakes. Only apply if you go hard in life and at work.
We also sponsor classes to any employee that wants to learn. Take some technician classes at Green River or Bates on us. Get your ASE certification and we will sponsor your testing. Enroll in some weekend masterclasses on Audi Diesel Engines or BMW drive trains and we pay the tuition.
Schedule
We work Monday through Friday 8-5 with 1 hour lunch at 12:30pm. Your schedule will be 8am-5pm with 1 hour lunch at 12:30pm. No weekends, no overtime.
