Job Summary
The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat patients with a focus on improving activities of daily living, functional mobility, and overall independence. This role primarily serves adult and geriatric populations within the Celebration area.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide skilled OT services focused on ADLs, safety, and functional independence
- Educate patients and caregivers on home safety, adaptive equipment, and fall prevention
- Collaborate with PTs, OTs, and physicians to ensure coordinated care
- Document all visits accurately and in a timely manner using WebPT
- Adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and clinical judgment
Requirements
- Active Florida Occupational Therapist license
- Experience with the geriatric population preferred
- Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
- Comfortable working in both in-home and outpatient settings
- Ability to work independently while staying connected with the team
