Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Inventory Control Manager based in Cincinnati, OH. The Inventory Control Manager will oversee the inventory management process, including maintaining accurate stock levels, conducting regular audits, and implementing efficient inventory policies. This role involves supervising inventory staff, managing supplier relationships, monitoring inventory flow, and ensuring timely procurement. Additionally, the Inventory Control Manager will support supply chain optimization efforts and contribute to maintaining operational efficiency.
Core Responsibilities
Inventory Ownership & Accuracy
- Maintain accurate, real-time inventory levels across all parts and materials
- Lead regular cycle counts and physical inventories
- Investigate, reconcile, and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Own inventory adjustments, documentation, and reporting
Inventory Systems & Controls
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures
- Partner with purchasing to align replenishment, lead times, and reorder points
- Optimize stock locations, storage logic, and warehouse flow
- Ensure consistent labeling, part numbering, and organization standards
Data & Reporting
- Maintain clean, accurate item master data
- Utilize inventory software to track transactions and generate reports
- Analyze inventory trends (overstock, shortages, usage patterns)
- Provide inventory insights to leadership and production teams
Quality & Compliance
- Inspect incoming inventory for damage, defects, or non-conformance
- Coordinate with Quality and Production on quarantined or rejected items
- Ensure safe storage, handling, and compliance with company standards
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Production, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to forecast demand
- Support efficient picking, staging, and material availability for builds
- Assist in documenting and training inventory processes as the company scales
Continuous Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies and propose system or process improvements
- Support the evolution of inventory tools, workflows, and best practices
- Contribute to a strong, collaborative Production Team culture

Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- ~2 years of hands-on inventory management experience
- Experience with inventory software (NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Forklift experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in inventory management, stock control, and warehouse management
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Experience with supplier relations and coordinating supply chains
- Knowledge of inventory software and tracking systems
- Problem-solving, management, and decision-making skills
- Familiarity with process improvement initiatives and cost-control strategies
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Work experience in inventory or warehouse management is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate data records
Preferred:
- Experience supporting production or manufacturing environments
- Exposure to demand planning or purchasing collaboration
- Continuous improvement or process documentation experience
