Tile Setter

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of tile and related materials with precision and craftsmanship, ensuring high-quality finishes on residential, commercial, or renovation projects. Your expertise will contribute to creating durable, aesthetically pleasing surfaces that meet project specifications and client expectations. Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and install tiles using hand tools and power tools, ensuring accurate placement according to blueprints and technical drawings
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying suitable substrates for tile adhesion
• Follow construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise tile layouts
• Mix and apply grout, caulking, plastering, or other finishing materials to complete installations
• Operate heavy equipment or scaffolding safely when working on elevated or hard-to-reach areas
• Collaborate with carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and other trades to coordinate seamless integration of tile work within broader construction projects
• Inspect completed work for quality control, durability, and adherence to safety standards

Requirements

• Proven experience in tile laying or related construction roles with a strong understanding of building material installation techniques
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans
• Skilled in using hand tools such as trowels, chisels, levels, and measuring devices; familiar with power tools including saws and drills
• Knowledge of other construction disciplines such as carpentry (including trim carpentry), masonry, roofing, drywall installation, and concrete finishing is highly desirable
• Experience with plumbing or electrical systems is a plus for integrated projects
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely when necessary; familiarity with scaffolding or lift equipment preferred
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; capable of working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
• Valid construction site experience with a focus on safety protocols and quality standards
