Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Carpenter to join our dynamic remodel/renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of carpentry tasks on residential and commercial projects, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in reading blueprints, handling various hand and power tools, and working with different construction materials will be essential to delivering exceptional results. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, from framing and drywall installation to finish carpentry and restoration work.
Duties
- Interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately execute project specifications.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other building materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking.
- Perform framing, door hanging, cabinet installation, flooring, tile laying, and trim carpentry with precision.
- Operate woodworking machines safely and efficiently to produce high-quality components.
- Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, plastering, stucco application, drywall installation, caulking, and heavy lifting tasks as required.
- Follow construction estimating procedures to ensure project costs align with budgets while maintaining quality standards.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to power tool safety protocols and proper handling of construction site equipment.
- Collaborate with team members and project managers to interpret construction plans and meet project deadlines.
- Support restoration projects by applying specialized skills in reconditioning existing structures or materials.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality expectations.
Skills
- Extensive experience in residential carpentry and general construction projects.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels, levels, and measuring devices.
- Adept at operating power tools including drills, saws, sanders, and woodworking machines safely.
- Knowledge of wood construction materials such as framing lumber, plywood, drywall sheets, trim moldings, and cabinetry components.
- Ability to perform metal stud framing and assembly tasks efficiently.
- Experience with flooring installation (hardwood, tile) and finishing techniques like caulking or stucco application.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes for material takeoffs and project budgeting.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to power tools and heavy lifting activities.
- Capable of interpreting technical specifications from construction plans for accurate execution of tasks.
- Experience in rebar installation, concrete forming, plastering, drywall finishing, restoration industry standards, cabinet installation, door hanging, handyman services, metal stud framing, flooring installation, and tile laying is highly desirable.
