Maintenance Technician

Job description

Property Management Company accepting resumes for the position of Maintenance Technician. Maintenance Techs perform maintenance tasks of unit turns, fulfilling work orders, and preventative maintenance. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with attention to detail and be able to work responsibly, independently as well as with a team! The goal is to maintain the buildings, common areas, and units in the best possible condition.

This is a 40 hour per week position with the added responsibility of rotating afterhours with maintenance team. Work hours are from Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm, in the Charlotte, NC area.

Responsibilities, include but not limited too,

• Fix/Change Locks
• Install/Repair window coverings
• Caulking
• Unit painting and/or touch up painting
• Repair/Replace Drywall with a diameter of 6'' or less
• Inspect and Coordinate all make-ready repairs with Site Manager
• Remove, transfer, replace heavy appliances
• Assists in keeping grounds neat and free of litter
• Assist in unit inspections with the Site Manager
• Must have the ability to select appropriate materials needed for the property
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. maintaining the cleanliness of the property) and other tasks as assigned
• Must be aware of the condition of apartments and the overall property and immediately initiate action to correct unsafe conditions
• Maintain consistent work flow of maintenance building, including cleanliness and organization. Performs on-call emergency service as requested and or set up applicable vendor, if/when needed.
• Completes all service requests within 24 hours, unless the request requires extraordinary parts or labor.
• Must possess all the required tools needed for the job.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
