Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Report daily to the Procurement Manager or Director of Operations for assigned procurement tasks and updates.
- Track outsourced millwork work orders and purchase orders in Innergy and maintain up-to-date delivery status.
- Coordinate with external millwork fabricators to ensure on-time production and delivery.
- Maintain organized procurement documentation including quotes, contracts, and order confirmations.
- Communicate regularly with vendors regarding lead times, shipping updates, and production status.
- Assist in identifying and qualifying new outsourcing partners as needed.
- Review outsourced millwork shop drawings for accuracy and alignment with project specifications.
- Assist in preparing and managing millwork purchase orders and subcontracts for external partners.
- Verify that outsourced items align with project scope and client requirements.
- Help manage pre-build and storage planning for outsourced millwork components.
- Ensure warehouse or jobsite delivery coordination with vendors and internal teams.
- Participate in internal planning meetings to align outsourcing timelines with project milestones.
- Ensure compliance with internal SOPs and industry best practices for outsourced procurement.
- Assist in tracking procurement costs and reporting variances.
- Support resolution of discrepancies or quality concerns with vendors.
- Attend vendor meetings, either virtually or in person, as necessary.
- Maintain positive and professional vendor relationships.
Education
- Two-year degree, or higher in Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Business or related field preferred
- Relevant experience can be considered as an equivalent to a degree
Experience
- 2 or more years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or outsourcing in the woodworking, manufacturing, or construction industry.
Software & Technical Skills
- Proficiency in:
- Procurement or Project Management software – Innergy (training available)
- Drawing review software – Bluebeam
- Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including ability to calculate rates, markups, and material quantities.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
