What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Supervisor position at REMINGTON SEEDS LLC?
Description
The Receiving Supervisor has a very important role in ensuring product integrity of seed received at the plant. Other essential job functions may include but not limited to:
- Performing work activities safely and in compliance with company Quality Management System.
- Verifying hilum purity, moisture content, contaminants and mechanical damage by performing a soak test on every truck load of seed received prior to unloading.
- Thorough cleaning of all equipment in order to maintain product integrity.
- Safely climb stairs and/or ladders to monitor and adjust equipment.
- Ensure product integrity by avoiding variety mixtures in receiving bins.
- Assist in coordinating seed arrival from on-farm storage. This may require communication directly with growers via phone/text.
- Assists the Conditioning Supervisor and Conditioning Operator in the conditioning tower as needed.
- Lead fellow team members that may be assisting in the receiving area.
- Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized work area.

- Ability to perform physical labor, Lift greater than 50lbs
- Forklift experience preferred
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check
- Knowledge of routine and preventative maintenance preferred
- Communication skills and experience preferred
