What You Will Be Doing
The Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the guest rooms, public areas and back of house areas, such as the linen room and laundry areas, according to company procedures and at a level that meets or exceeds company standards.
Core Responsibilities
Clean and maintain the guest room areas, including bathroom and bedroom, according to company standards
Organize and stock cleaning cart, and organize linen closets as assigned
Complete assigned paperwork in an accurate and timely fashion
Perform other duties as assigned, such as cleaning spills or executing special guest requests
Knowledge, Skills, And Competencies
High work ethic and self-initiative
Regular attendance according to established guidelines
May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property
Focus and maintain attention to tasks, and complete work assignments on time despite frequent interruptions
Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times
Physical Requirements
Quickly and thoroughly perform cleaning duties in guest rooms, spending approximately 24 minutes per guest room, and cleaning approximately 18 rooms per shift
Sit, stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods of time
Bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning requirements
Inspect rooms for cleanliness and immediately report guest belongings that have been left behind
Lift approximately thirty (30) pounds of equipment or supplies on and off a cart, using safe lifting techniques
Push heavy carts, approximately one hundred (100) pounds
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, using written communication skills to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork
Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening and hearing ability and visual ability
