The Materials Team Lead provides leadership while working as a team member within Shipping and Receiving operations. Perform and assist Receiving Operators in the entering of Purchase Orders in system, Incoming part inspection, Order fulfillment in Shipping Dept. The Team Lead will work with Supervisor and Material Handlers for proper part movement (physical and systemic). Assist with Cycle Counts and discrepancy investigation.

Education: High school diploma or GED required
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing/production environment; fork-lift qualified.

Principal Duties and Accountabilities (*Essential Functions)
- Observe all departmental and plant safety rules and regulations.
- Serve as a team member to solve problems or implement positive improvements.
- Communicate issues and status of previous issues to co-workers (log book).
- Continuous physical inspection of inbound direct parts.
- Visually inspect all parts to establish any defects that may occur during handling parts and final assembled gun.
- Perform Cycle Counts.
- Maintain daily records.
- Complete necessary tracking transactions.
- Maintain tools needed for function.
- Maintain clean, uncluttered work area.
- Learn several jobs and rotate as required.
- Overtime may be required.
- Assist in the training of SOPs and newly introduced policies and procedures
- Examines incoming items to determine if they meet specifications.
- Recommends measures to improve inbound and outbound movement of material, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Maintains time and department records
