Job Summary:
Has responsibility for deterring criminal behavior through his or her visibility and observance of campus grounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Adheres to all Company policies and procedures and operates at all times within state and federal statutes and regulations and within standards of accreditation.
- Maintains and monitors interior and exterior campus grounds as designated.
- Maintains campus safety by preventing any student or guest infractions.
- Patrols interior of facility and ensures that all rooms are locked when not in use.
- Patrols exterior campus area, including parking lots and peripheral area.
- Maintains daily security equipment and logs.
- Identifies and investigates campus maintenance needs, and submits appropriate work orders, as assigned.
- Completes any incident reports as necessary.
- Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
- Maintains professional and effective working relationships with all other Campus personnel.
- Conducts his or her professional and personal life in a fashion that fosters a positive impression of the Campus and the Company.
- Performs the job on site when required. Remote work is appropriate when onsite work is not required. Subject to change if superseded by Human Resource policy regarding remote work.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Some experience in security or loss prevention preferred.
