Job Summary:
This position is an integral part of the academic leadership team and provides strategic oversight of online academic operations, with primary responsibility for the Dallas Online campus. The Associate Provost for Online Academics ensures the quality, consistency, and compliance of online programs while supporting cross-campus academic initiatives, including accreditation preparation, faculty performance, and instructional quality. This role provides indirect leadership across campuses and direct supervision of online academic personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Online Academic Leadership & Oversight
- Provide leadership for all academic operations of the Dallas Online campus.
- Oversee Online Program Chairs and Faculty, including hiring, training, course assignments, performance expectations, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Ensure quality, consistency, and compliance in online course delivery across programs.
- Maintain and oversee the Learning Management System (LMS) and digital learning solutions for online programs.
- Monitor student satisfaction, engagement, and retention in online programs.
- Retains the authority to hire, fire, promote, demote, or discipline or effect or any other change of status for an employee under his or her direct supervision in accordance with institutional policies.
Curriculum, Course Development, and Instructional Quality
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and revise online curriculum and course content.
- Lead and support online course development initiatives aligned with instructional best practices.
- Maintain accurate textbook and supply lists for all programs and coordinate updates with vendors and internal teams.
- Ensure alignment of online curriculum with workforce needs and institutional standards.
Accreditation, Compliance, and Institutional Support
- Support renewal of accreditation efforts, including Self-Evaluation Reports, site visits, and commission responses.
- Ensure online programs meet all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain documentation and evidence related to online education quality and compliance.
- Participate in the development and modification of academic policies and procedures.
Institutional Initiatives & Cross-Campus Support
- Support the planning and execution of the Annual Professional Development Summit.
- Provide online academic expertise and support to campuses as needed.
- Review activity reports to assess progress toward institutional goals and adjust plans accordingly.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives related to online growth, innovation, and student success.
Operational Expectations
- Adheres to all Company policies and procedures, and operates within state and federal statutes and regulations and within standards of accreditation at all times.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment in academic leadership decisions and other areas under his or her administrative guidance.
- Conducts his or her professional and personal life in a fashion that fosters a positive impression of the Institution.
- Performs the job on site and travels as required.
Job Requirements
Education:
- A Masters degree or equivalent; a terminal degree in education preferred.
Experience:
- More than five (5) years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
