Receptionist & Clinic Support Assistant — Remedy Speech Therapy

Remedy Speech Therapy is a growing pediatric therapy practice in Old Town Alexandria focused on exceptional care, kindness, and a welcoming experience for families. We are seeking a dependable and friendly Receptionist & Clinic Support Assistant to help create a smooth and organized end-of-day environment for our therapists, children, and families.
This position is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with people, staying organized, and keeping a space running efficiently.
Position Overview
This role includes greeting and checking in patients during our busy evening hours, answering phone calls, maintaining spreadsheets, supporting therapists with light clinic tasks, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and family-friendly environment.
Responsibilities
Front Desk Duties
- Greet families and check patients in for appointments
- Answer phone calls
- Provide a warm, welcoming presence in the lobby
- Communicate simple information to parents (e.g., therapist running a few minutes behind, where to wait, services, etc)
- Update or verify basic patient information in our system as directed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lobby, play area, and front desk
Clinic Support Tasks
- Prep treatment rooms before sessions as needed (restocking materials, wiping down surfaces, setting up toys or supplies)
- Assist therapists by grabbing toys, materials, or cleaning items as needed
- Help tidy, sanitize, and reset therapy rooms at the end of the day
- Organize materials, toys, and office supplies
- Assist with simple filing, scanning, and other administrative tasks as assigned
- Support end-of-day closing procedures for the clinic
Qualifications

- Shows initiative and enjoys helping wherever needed
- Comfortable with light cleaning and organizational tasks
- Reliable and punctual—this role is essential to evening operations
- Previous childcare, customer service, or office experience is a plus
- Must enjoy working around families and children

Pay: $22.00 - $23.50 per hour
