What You'll Do

We are seeking a Firestop Field Service Technician to perform inspections, repairs, and maintenance of firestopping systems. This role supports life safety compliance while working independently in customer facilities.

Responsibilities include:

• Inspect and repair firestopping systems per NFPA, IBC, and UL standards
• Perform minor repairs to wall assemblies
• Read and interpret Life Safety Plans and construction drawings
• Document inspection results and repairs using tablet-based reporting
• Maintain tools, equipment, and clean, safe job sites
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams
• Support multiple service lines and travel between job sites

What We're Looking For

• Experience in firestopping, or life safety systems
• Construction, drywall finish and hanging, caulking
• Ability to read Life Safety Plans (LSPs) and work independently in facilities
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
• Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office tools
• Self-motivated and dependable with strong customer service skills
• Willingness to support multiple service lines and travel locally

Physical Requirements

• Regular standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching
• Ability to climb ladders and work above ceiling spaces
• Ability to work in confined spaces and containment units
• Ability to safely lift and carry materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions

Additional Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age to meet company driving and insurance eligibility requirements
• Valid driver's license required. Ability to obtain and maintain identification necessary for work-related travel is required
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time (market dependent)
• Ability to work occasional overtime, nights, weekends, or modified schedules as business needs require

Compensation & Benefits Disclosure: The compensation range for this position is $27.00-$34.00 per hour. This range represents REMEDI8's good-faith estimate of the compensation expected to be offered to a successful candidate at the time of hire.
