The Billing Mail Clerk is responsible for accurate and timely handling of all incoming mail and return mail for Clarest/Procare customers. This is an onsite position in the Billing department at our Oklahoma City location
Location: OKC
Salary: $12.00 per hour
Schedule: 8:30AM – 5PM CST | Monday to Friday (No Weekends)

- Achieves department goals in volume, production, quality, and customer service.
- Performs Medicaid eligibility checks as required for mail indicating Medicaid eligibility.
- Receives and reviews return mail for all Procare locations.
- Scans and triages return mail into Docutrak. Email the appropriate team for handling based on return reason.
- Researches returned mail as received and appropriately processes.
- Prints and mails statement copies that need to be resent due to address changes.
- Complies and enforces all company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Complies with all applicable state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practices.
- Participates in special projects to identify and implement operational improvements.
- Demonstrates ability to work with others in a positive productive manner
- Anticipates and responds to the position responsibilities in a proactive and timely manner.
- Assists with ensuring safety policies and procedures are practiced and adhered.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or directed.
- The ability to adhere to Clarest’s Code of Conduct, follow Clarest Compliance policies and procedures, and report any suspected violations of any federal or state laws to either their direct supervisor, Human Resources or the Compliance Officer
- High school diploma or GED equivalent. Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook required, general knowledge and understanding of billing rules desired.
- Minimum of one year office experience desired. Previous LTC pharmacy billing preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Individual must have a strong internal and external customer service focus, and work as a team player.
- Must be dependable with an ability to be flexible, function independently and work under pressure to accomplish multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Must have strong organizational, time management skills, ability to problem solve.
- This position will be exposed to highly confidential information and data that disclosed would be against Federal and State HIPAA law and contrary to the company’s policies and to professional ethics.
- This position requires the ability to exert up to 40 lbs. of force occasionally and/or lift, carry, push or move objects. Position requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time during the work day.
