REMA Tip Top North America is seeking an experienced Belt Splicing Technician to join our field services team in West Jordan Utah. This role is ideal for a highly skilled conveyor belt technician who not only excels in heavy-duty belt splicing and maintenance but also has a passion for leading teams, training others, and driving operational excellence in the field.
Position Overview
The Lead Belt Splicer will be responsible for performing advanced conveyor belt splicing, repairs, and installations on heavy industrial systems while also serving as a technical lead in the field. This individual will help guide less experienced technicians, ensure high-quality workmanship, and represent REMA Tip Top North America in customer-facing environments across various job sites.
This is a hands-on leadership role with strong opportunities for advancement within the company.
Location

- Field travel required (regional and occasional national assignments)
Compensation
- Hourly (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities
- Perform hot and cold vulcanized conveyor belt splicing on heavy-duty belts
- Lead and support field crews on job sites
- Conduct belt installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance
- Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and customer standards
- Train and mentor junior belt technicians and apprentices
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Coordinate with supervisors and customers on job progress and requirements
- Maintain tools, equipment, and jobsite organization
- Travel to various industrial and mining sites as required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of conveyor belt splicing experience
- Strong experience with heavy-duty industrial conveyor systems
- Proven ability to work in field service environments
- Ability to travel frequently and work flexible schedules (including occasional weekends)
- Demonstrated leadership or crew lead experience
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet travel requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in mining, aggregates, or heavy industrial environments
- Prior experience training or supervising technicians
- Familiarity with REMA Tip Top products and systems
