What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Intervention Counselors position at RELYHEALTH STAFFING SOLUTION INC.?
The Behavior Intervention Counselors (BIC) provides comprehensive early childhood mental health and behavioral support services to children enrolled in the Salt River Schools Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC), including Head Start, Early Head Start, and Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) programs. The BICs promotes positive social-emotional development, supports children experiencing behavioral challenges, strengthens family and staff capacity, and ensures services are delivered in accordance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS), tribal policies, and evidence-based practices. The BICs works collaboratively with children, families, educators, Family Services, Health Services, and community partners to provide a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and relationship-based approach to supporting the whole child. The Behavior Intervention Counselors shall utilize Conscious Discipline®, a trauma-informed, evidence-based social-emotional learning and relationship-based approach, to support children's emotional regulation, positive behavior, family engagement, and staff capacity building across all program settings. Program Framework The contracted Behavior Intervention Counselors shall support implementation of Conscious Discipline® as the program's primary trauma-informed, evidence-based social-emotional learning framework and shall align consultation, intervention, coaching, and family engagement services with its principles and practices.
Pay: $25.11 - $28.11 per hour
