This Mechanical Design and Metrology Engineer role will provide direct engineering, metrology, and design support to ReLogic’s programs at Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD), enabling advanced sustainment, reverse engineering, and modernization efforts critical to Army sustainment and modernization activities.

The primary work location is Chambersburg, PA, where the candidate will perform design, metrology, 3D scanning, and technical data package (TDP) development activities in direct support of LEAD’s maintenance, overhaul, and sustainment missions. Some travel to ReLogic facilities or other defense locations to support project activities may be required.

Primary Responsibilities
Focus Areas: Advanced Manufacturing
- Perform dimensional inspections using structured-light scanners, laser radar, portable CMM arms, and other metrology platforms.
- Compare as-built configurations to nominal CAD models and generate detailed technical reports, deviation maps, and inspection documentation.
- Develop 3D CAD designs, assemblies, and 2D drawings to support reverse engineering, engineering analyses, and manufacturing activities.
- Support technical data package (TDP) development aligned with MIL-STD-31000C and DoD customer requirements.
- Develop written reports, briefings, and other documentation to present to internal ReLogic and customer POCs
- S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university
- 1-5 years of experience in mechanical design, dimensional metrology, CAD modeling, or related engineering roles
- Proficiency with CAD software (Solid Edge, SolidWorks, NX, Creo, or CATIA)
- Experience with PolyWorks, GOM Inspect, ControlX, or similar metrology software
- Familiar with ASME Y14.100, “Engineering Product definition and Related Documentation Practices”
- Understanding of GD&T, engineering drawings, and tolerance analysis
- Strong analytical ability, technical writing skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
