Job Description
Relieve Care is a Minnesota licensed home care and residential care provider in Anoka County, Minnesota. We are a provider that focuses on the well-being of our clients, and strive to provide affordable, quality home care and personal residential care services. Our well-trained personnel provide excellent care to people with mental illness or developmentally delayed individuals. Our 24/7 client services include but are not limited to companionship, administering clients’ scheduled medications, coordinating client’s medical appointments, assisting with meals preparation, assisting with living space upkeep, and assisting with all activities of daily living. Direct Support Professional tasks include helping patients with daily activities, accompanying them to medical appointments, cooking and serving meals, performing light housekeeping duties, running errands, and providing companionship.
We are looking for an experienced individual to fill the role of Direct Support Professional. The right candidate will be responsible for providing compassionate care and assistance to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. If you have prior experience working with developmentally disabled adults in a direct care role, we encourage you to apply for this position.
Duties:
- Daily update of resident's chart / case notes in client record
- Provide supervision and guidance for residents during skills building activities.
- Develop and implement individual treatment plans for residents.
- Assist with daily living activities, including preparing meals and assisting with personal hygiene.
- Provide companionship by developing rapport with residents and cultivate a safe and supportive relationship.
- Facilitate and transport clients to community and recreational outings.
Professional qualifications:
- Compassionate about the care and well-being of others
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to read & write.
- 0 years’ experience providing direct care to patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- 18 years old or more, with Valid driver’s license
- No previous criminal records.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
