Client Care Coordinator

Relief Pools & Patio
Baton Rouge, LA Full Time
POSTED ON 7/31/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 11/28/2026

If you're the person who ends up talking to everyone at the party, and you'd rather have a hard conversation face-to-face than send an email about it — read the rest of this.

Why this job exists

Building a gunite pool takes about 4–6 weeks. For that entire stretch, we have crews in someone's backyard, dirt where their lawn used to be, and a homeowner watching the most expensive thing they'll buy this decade take shape very slowly.

The construction almost always goes fine. What makes or breaks the experience is whether the customer understands what's happening and why.

Most pool builders are terrible at this. Customers find out about a delay when the crew doesn't show up. Nobody explains why there's a two-week gap between gunite and tile. Calls go to voicemail.

We're hiring one person whose entire job is making sure that never happens to our customers.

What you'll actually do

You'll spend your week in a truck and in backyards. This is not a desk job.

  • Visit active job sites. Walk the progress. Take photos. Notice the things a homeowner will notice.
  • Meet customers at their pool. Explain what just got done, what's next, and what the realistic timeline looks like.
  • Get ahead of bad news. If plaster slipped a week, the customer hears it from you — before they notice it themselves.
  • Own concerns end to end. When someone has a problem, you don't pass it along and hope. You find the answer and close the loop.
  • Debrief with project managers daily so what you tell customers matches what's actually happening in the field.
  • Log every interaction in so nothing lives only in your head.
  • Run the completion handoff. Walk the customer through equipment, startup, and care. Send them off knowing how to enjoy the thing they just bought.
  • Ask for the review and the referral when the moment is right — and you'll know when that is.

Who does well in this role

You're comfortable being the face of bad news. Delays happen in construction. The job is delivering that early and honestly, not dodging the call and hoping it resolves itself.

You read people. You can tell the difference between a customer who wants every technical detail and one who just needs to hear that it's on track.

You're organized without being managed. Nobody is going to hand you a daily route. You'll build it.

You stay steady when someone's upset. A homeowner venting in their driveway about a schedule they don't understand isn't an attack — it's someone who feels out of the loop. You know the difference.

You don't need construction experience. We'll teach you excavation, steel, gunite, tile, decking, plaster, and startup. We can't teach you how to be the kind of person people trust.

This is probably not for you if

  • You'd rather send an email than have the conversation
  • You need a script for hard conversations
  • You go quiet when someone's frustrated with you
  • You want predictable days in an office
  • Louisiana summers outdoors are a dealbreaker
