Van Driver

Position Summary

The role of Van Route Driver is responsible for safely transporting passengers on assigned routes in accordance with company policies, contractual obligations, and all federal and state regulations. This position ensures reliable daily service for schools, community organizations, and contracted clients. The Van Route Driver maintains a high standard of safety, professionalism, and customer service while operating company vehicles.

Now Hiring for the Upcoming School Year! We are currently offering paid training to help new drivers prepare for the school year. This is a great opportunity to learn company procedures, become familiar with routes, and build the skills needed to succeed with confidence.

Please note: This position may also include driving a white bus (Type III vehicle) that does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Applicants should be comfortable operating both company vans and white buses as needed to support daily transportation operations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Safely operate a company van and/or white bus on assigned routes and schedules.
• Transport passengers to and from designated locations in a timely manner.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns.
• Ensure compliance with all state transportation regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate route logs and required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays or route changes.
• Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle interior.
• Provide professional and courteous service to passengers and clients.
• Follow company safety standards and emergency procedures.

Education, Experience and Skills

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Previous professional driving experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening.
• Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to manage time and follow assigned routes.
• Ability to work early mornings, afternoons, or split shifts as required.
