Reliant Staffing Partners is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Charleston, West Virginia.

Job Summary for Post Cardiac Cath Unit (PCCU) RN
- Care for pre- and post-cardiac catheterization patients and ED overflow.
- Manage arterial/venous sheath removal, TR bands, new pacemakers/defibrillators, and Watchman post-procedure.
- Discharge patients 24-48 hours post-procedure, or facilitate CABG consults and transfers as needed.
- Care for observation patients receiving procedures and discharging within 36 hours.
- Do not manage patients with chest tubes or critical drips.
- Administer and manage specific drips (Nitroglycerin, Angiomax, Heparin, electrolytes, fluids, antibiotics).
- Care for patients with cardiac diagnoses: NSTEMI, STEMI, CHF, atrial fibrillation/flutter, bradycardia, tachycardia, heart blocks, SVT, V-Tach, sinus arrhythmia, AV paced/defibrillator.
- Work 3x12hr night shifts (7:30pm–7:00am), including every other weekend.
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 (days, nights, weekends).
- Provide care for adult patient population only.
- Use cardiac telemetry, central line draws, ports, blood administration, PCA pumps, bone marrow aspiration assist, pleurx chest tubes, and (preferred) chemotherapy administration.
- Float within scope as needed to meet facility needs.
- Required certifications: BLS; preferred: ACLS, CPI.
- Minimum 2 years RN experience; at least 1 year cardiac specialty experience.
- Accepts first-time travelers with cardiac experience.
- Must have WV or compact RN license (pending acceptable).
- Complete documentation and compliance per facility submission requirements.
- Work at a Level IV Trauma Center/major teaching hospital, 838 beds, using Cerner charting.
- Scrubs: Royal Blue/White; free traveler parking.
- 36 hours/week guaranteed; no blocked schedule guaranteed.
- Must comply with facility flu shot policy (October–March); COVID vaccine not required.
