Job Summary
Reliant MedCare Transport LLC is seeking a professional, high-integrity Medical Courier to support a medical contract in the Tampa/Brandon area. This role is responsible for the secure, climate-controlled transport of medical supplies, lab specimens, pharmaceuticals, and medical records. As a Medical Courier, you will be the friendly face representing our organization while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and customer service throughout your daily deliveries.
Note: A company-provided, climate-controlled vehicle will be supplied for all contract operations.
Key Responsibilties
- Daily Scheduled Routes: Complete three daily round-trips adhering to a strict mandated timetable.
- Cargo Management: Safely load and secure pre-packaged supplies of up to 200 cubic feet.
- Temperature Control: Maintain items in specific ranges using provided high-grade monitoring systems.
- Unscheduled Runs: Be available for occasional "on-call" unscheduled runs with a 2-hour response window.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college experience is preferred but not required.
- Medical Courier Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical specimen or pharmaceutical delivery.
- Cold-Chain Management: Proven experience managing temperature-sensitive cargo (Refrigerated/Frozen).
- Driving Record: Must have an exemplary MVR (no more than one minor violation in 3 years; zero DUIs, reckless driving, or at-fault accidents in 5 years).
- Citizenship & Security: Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a background check to obtain unescorted access to government installations.
- Required Certifications
- HIPAA & OSHA: Must possess (or be willing to obtain) current HIPAA awareness and Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP) certifications.
- Specialized Handling: Must be certified and/or bonded to carry pharmaceuticals, lab/blood products, and dry ice.
- Communication: Must be fluent in English and capable of understanding basic medical terminology.
