Reliant Mechanical is a full-service mechanical contracting firm operating in the industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential segments and we are hiring! We have 100 associates based in Ohio skilled in installation, maintenance and repairs of heating, cooling and refrigeration systems, equipment, plumbing and fixtures, process piping, sheet metal and structural steel.
We are adding a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to our growing 2nd Shift team! Our team is generally recognized as being very versatile and having strong capabilities in design/build estimating, HVAC installation/maintenance/repairs, sheet metal and steel fabrication, plumbing installation and maintenance, process piping installation/repair, production line setup/maintenance, and facility management.
Second Shift Mechanical Maintenance Technicians will complete required PM's and repairs while working as part of our Mechanical Maintenance team onsite at a leading auto manufacturer.

Schedule: Monday to Thursday 3:00pm - 11:30pm and 2:00pm to 10:30pm Friday.Time and a half for Saturday and double time on Sunday regardless of prior hours worked.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs planned maintenance activities following written instructions. Planned maintenance activities include measurement of wear, replacement of expendables (i.e. belts, hoses, fluids, filters, etc.) and inspection/evaluation of operating characteristics such as speeds, pressures, vacuum, or vibration.
- Ability to operate sewer machine.
- Completes repairs including rebuilding of pumps, valves, electrical and pneumatic solenoid devices, and air handling equipment. Completes general building repairs, including repair of walls, doors, floors, etc. Completes repairs to plumbing system including fixing leaks and stoppages, repairs or replacement of sinks, piping, valves, drains and toilets. Repairs and maintains lighting systems throughout the plant and penthouses. Replaces lighting components, ceiling tiles, and ceiling grid throughout the buildings and offices.
- Keeps working area neat. Assists in keeping facility clean.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance and repair in an industrial environment.
- Valid driver's license that’s meets commercial insurability requirements.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, engineering specs and adhere to governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and provide procedural influence.
- Experience with the following types of equipment: HVAC, Air Compressors, Pump and Plumbing Maintenance, Electrical and Mechanical Skills are required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening and pre-employment drug screening.

- Candidates will possess an intermediate knowledge of computers and software.

Physical Demands
Must be able to constantly climb stairs and fixed ladders. Work environment will include heights above 15 ft and noise levels above 80 dBA. Must not be sensitive or allergic to chemicals. Must be able to work in a full range of indoor and outdoor conditions during all four seasons. Stand, walk and sit. Use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel. Reach with hands and arms. Climb or balance. Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Talk, hear, taste and smell. The employee must be able to lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Perform work on or at the roof level. Work Environment:
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and may work in precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Potentially toxic, acidic or caustic chemicals. Outdoor weather conditions. Short term extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee will work in an environment where the following safety equipment is needed: steel toe shoes, hearing protection, hardhat, eye protection, sleeves. Abide by all safety guidelines including OSHA regulations, lock-out/tag-out, etc. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
