Join a leading provider of commissioning services for mission-critical facilities as a Mechanical Commissioning Agent III. This role is essential to ensuring the operational excellence and reliability of data center mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will be based in the DC/MD/VA area and will play a key part in the commissioning of complex mechanical and electrical systems for large-scale data centers. Expect a dynamic work environment with significant local travel (approximately 70%) to project sites.ResponsibilitiesLead and execute commissioning activities for data center mechanical systems, including generators, CRAC units, rooftop AHUs, humidifiers, sprinkler systems, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, exhaust fans, and digital electrical distribution equipment.Review client design packages and documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.Monitor and analyze Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Level 3 testing for first-of-kind equipment.Develop and maintain comprehensive commissioning documentation, including test procedures, logs, checklists, and reports.Prepare and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and methods of procedures (MOPs) for mechanical systems.Participate in daily commissioning meetings and coordinate with project teams, contractors, vendors, and clients.Conduct integrated system and load bank testing, and compile and verify test results.Assist with field troubleshooting and provide technical support for commissioned equipment as needed.Ensure adherence to quality management and quality control processes throughout all project phases.Help lead and manage external resources, schedule and direct commissioning meetings, and attend construction and coordination meetings as required.Travel locally to project sites as needed (up to approximately 70%).QualificationsBachelor’s or Associate’s degree in engineering preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.5-10 years of experience in the engineering field, with a focus on complex facilities or mission-critical projects.Previous experience with data center or mission-critical facility commissioning is required.Experience with electrical equipment testing in critical facility environments.Familiarity with IEEE/ASHRAE procedures and protocols is a plus.Basic knowledge of systems design for various projects.Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.Field experience with Power Quality Analyzers, Power Disturbance Analyzers, data loggers, and related system testing equipment.Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to interface effectively with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in environments with moderate noise levels.
Salary : $110,000 - $135,000
