If you are an experienced HVAC professional seeking to make an impact in a dynamic and essential industry, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career.ResponsibilitiesLead and perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all HVAC equipment, including air and water-cooled chillers, centrifugal and screw package chillers, natural gas boilers, unit heaters, electric duct heaters, cooling towers, and water pumps.Operate, maintain, and upgrade building automation systems, including pneumatic, DDC, and variable frequency drive controls.Oversee HVAC air distribution systems, including air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), fans, and related devices.Monitor compliance with contractual commitments for mission-critical mechanical services and maintenance.Provide guidance, leadership, and technical expertise to junior technicians, supporting their development and training.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system performance.Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency service requests as needed.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor to support facility operations.Maintain regular and reliable attendance.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Minimum of 7 years of large commercial HVAC service experience required; 8 years preferred.Completion of a basic air conditioning theory class.Proficient in the use of HVAC diagnostic tools and instruments.Experience with DDC, pneumatic, and variable frequency drive controls.Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software.OSHA Certification required.Valid Virginia or Maryland driver’s license required.Ability to pass any required client background checks or training.U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance preferred.Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in environments with moderate noise levels.
