Position Overview:
The Lead is responsible for the daily leadership, support, and training for the assigned team to achieve operational success through defined adherence to all customer requirements, distribution and quality policies and procedures.
Position Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
Responsible to monitor shipments/deliveries to ensure RWC meets customer shipment requirements to achieve OTIF targets as assigned
Responsible for communicating day to day workload and targets to staff members
Assist in or develop scheduled labor duties and responsibilities to meet customer order demand
Responsible for continual training and development of associates on current and new customer, distribution, or quality requirements
Manage shipment documents i.e., deliveries, picks etc. as needed to ensure maximum productivity daily
Work with sales teams on specific customer requirements, projects etc.
Active and successful participation in Leadership Development Initiative.
Work with site leadership to achieve optimum schedule and adherence to customer shipment requirements
Maintain a clean and safe work area. Wear required PPE. Perform duties in a safe manner and observe safety procedures. Ensure full adherence to 6S (Safety, Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) practices.
Other duties as assigned.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Expertise:
Leadership and communication ability both verbally and in writing.
Ability to understand and work within the RWC ERP system.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to understand and learn all distribution processes, policies, and procedures
Ability to work independently and multitask with a wide variety of activities.
Certified on all PIT equipment used at the distribution site
High School Diploma or equivalent.
2 years of experience in a similar leadership role (preferred)
1 year experience working directly with SAP or similar ERP systems
This position requires the individual to be able to work in a distribution/warehouse environment where temperatures can reach > 90 degrees
Must be available to work any shift, weekends, and/or overtime as required.
Be able to lift 50 pounds consistently.
Ability to stand for up to 12 hours.
Routinely walk, stand, bend, stoop, and twist.
