Lighting Field Technician

The Lighting Technician is responsible for leading installation in the field, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.

Pay: $48,000/yr

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 9AM-5PM

What You'll Do

Installation & Field Work

• Install permanent lighting, landscape lighting, holiday lighting, and related systems.
• Perform basic low-voltage wiring and troubleshooting.
• Assist with ladder work, mounting fixtures, running wire, and system setup.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and identify solutions in the field.
• Conduct final quality checks before project completion.

Job Site Management

• Usually one site visit per day, max two.
• Load and organize trailers, vehicles, tools, and materials for daily projects.
• Ensure crews have the necessary equipment and supplies before leaving for job sites.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of tools, vehicles, and work areas.
• Report material needs and inventory shortages to management.

Customer Experience

• Serve as the on-site representative.
• Communicate professionally with customers during installations.
• Answer basic customer questions regarding project progress and system functionality.
• Ensure customers have a positive installation experience.

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in construction, landscaping, irrigation, lighting, roofing, home services, or similar trades is a plus.
• Able to carry 50-75 lbs. of equipment
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Comfortable using ladders, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Outdoor lighting or landscape lighting experience.
• Low-voltage wiring experience.
• Holiday lighting installation experience.
• Experience leading a small crew.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Experience working directly with homeowners and customers.
