2nd Shift Quality Assurance Inspector (1:30pm - 9:30pm)

POSITION SUMMARY: 2nd Shift QA Inspector: M-F 1:30pm – 9:30pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure that correct components are staged for processing/manufacturing/packaging.
• Authorize the start-up of processing/manufacturing/packaging operations.
• • Includes cleaning and allergen swabs
• Check batch record instructions and ensure they are being followed.
• Ensure all actions part of processing/manufacturing/packaging processes are signed and/or initialed where appropriate.
• Monitor and collect data during all phases of processing/manufacturing/packaging for conformance to specifications and procedures.
• • Performing testing on all products made (weight, density, disintegration, friability, hardness, etc.)
• Inspect all processing, manufacturing, and packaging rooms, materials. and equipment for accuracy to the batch record instructions.
• • Review/approve/issue labels to jobs
• Ensure all processes are carried out according to cGMPs and following GDP.
• • Making sure all operators and other employees in warehouse are compliant, and escalating to Quality Manager if necessary

CRITICAL OPERATING RELATIONSHIPS:

Interact with QC, Operations team, QA Department and Management

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have good oral and written communication skills
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Detail oriented
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Must be able to perform mathematical calculations
• Multitasking in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to work overtime or extended hours depending on work load

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to write and communicate effectively in English
• Working knowledge of manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of cGMPs
