Job Description: The Accounts Receivable (AR) Representative plays a key role in supporting the AR team by
ensuring accurate reconciliation of client payments and effective management of unapplied funds. This position is
responsible for maintaining financial accuracy across clients and finance company accounts, supporting cash
application processes and assisting with outstanding and unclaimed funds.
The AR Representative will collaborate closely with internal teams and report to the Director of Accounts
Receivable to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Payment Reconciliation:
• Posting and apply client payments to appropriate accounts
• Monitor and reconcile the Unapplied Cash Report
• Process EFT and ACH transactions through the bank portal
• Manage the auto-draft schedule
• Apply Carrier and Finance Company payments as needed
• Manage the Payments inbox and respond to service inquiries regarding client payments
Outstanding Checks/Unclaimed Funds:
• Maintain and manage the Outstanding Checks Report
• Handle returned or undeliverable refund checks
• Prepare and manage Unclaimed Funds letters in accordance with Treasury requirements
• Submit funds to Treasury in compliance with applicable regulations
Other AR Related Tasks:
• Process and verify daily check deposits
• Support AR leadership with additional tasks and special projects
• Collaborate with offshore AR team members on assigned initiatives
• Assist with cleanup projects and account reconciliations
• Support the Collections Coordinator with AR balancing activities
• Process outgoing disbursements to clients as needed
• Follow up on consulting balances and ensure proper reconciliation
• Reconcile Direct Bill Commission items
Qualifications:
• Strong Verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Attributes:
• Experience in Accounts Receivable or related accounting functions
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
