Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management. This role will be responsible for executing all accounting functions while ensuring compliance with company policies. You will work directly with the CEO and CFO to maintain financial systems and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial performance, provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, accounts receivable, and payable.
- Manage and maintain financial records, including journals, ledgers, and financial statements.
- Conduct budgeting and forecasting to ensure the financial stability of the organization.
- Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including forecasting cash flows and capital investments.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards, including governmental accounting requirements.
- Payroll and Payroll tax report preparation.
- Work with CFO & CPA to assist with tax preparation and filing, as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Continuously evaluate and streamline accounting processes to enhance efficiency and ensure timely reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably public or corporate accounting.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including budgeting and financial analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and financial reporting tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
