We are searching for candidates who are looking to begin or continue a career in sales - whether you're fresh out of college or you have a few years of sales experience! Ideal candidates will be naturally people-oriented with good communications skills who possess a drive for success and are able to excel in a fast-paced environment while staying highly motivated. Your natural ambition and drive for success combined with great relationship-building skills and the ability to think strategically while creating systems and processes, will allow you to shine in this role. You will first be trained on the Reliance Way and given a solid foundation in the logistics industry through our training program. You will then be trained on the Reliance Sales Process. Ultimately you will be tasked with growing and managing a book of business. You will work with management to develop strategies for long term growth whereby Reliance captures maximum transportation revenue of our clients as we seek to make a lasting impact.

What you’re expected to do:
- Learn the Reliance Way through daily and interactive training program
- Learn and follow Reliance Sales Process
- Conduct lead generation activities including cold calling, networking and other prospecting methods
- Build positive relationships with prospective customers through regular communication
- Perform qualification process by utilizing solutions-oriented and consultative selling strategies
- Create opportunities to quote on new business and generate revenue through inside sales
- Develop, maintain and strengthen relationships as needed within customer base
- Effective application and usage of technology
- Ability to process booking requests to close business on the spot
- Manage shipment lifecycle through our transportation management system (TMS)
- Create Account Standard Operating Procedures for all onboarded clients
- Travel for client visits as needed
- Monitor leading and lagging indicators
- Participate in weekly meetings with manager to discuss performance
What sets you up for success:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-3 years in sales experience (including internships)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Keen ability to articulate concepts both verbally and through written documentation
- Keen ability to think creatively, integrates ideas, and develop effective solutions
- Works well with a diverse group of people
- Excels at managing multiple projects simultaneously

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
