We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Export Agent to manage export operations and support strategic customer accounts. This role is responsible for coordinating end-to-end shipment execution, ensuring compliance with international regulations, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Manage assigned strategic accounts and serve as the primary point of contact between customers, carriers, and logistics partners
- Coordinate and execute end-to-end export shipments (air and ocean), ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare, review, and distribute all required export documentation in compliance with regulatory and internal standards
- Provide competitive air and ocean freight quotations tailored to customer requirements
- Maintain clear, proactive communication with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout the shipment lifecycle
- Monitor shipments and resolve issues to ensure smooth delivery and customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (TSA, ISO, TAPA, IMDG, etc.)
- Utilize internal systems and software to manage daily shipment operations
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and contribute to new business development
- Meet and exceed KPIs and operational performance standards
- Contribute to process improvements, training initiatives, and overall team development
- 4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation (freight forwarding preferred)
- Strong knowledge of export operations, documentation, and compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics/supply chain software systems
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Authorized to work in the United States
