Reliance Global Logistics is seeking a Director of Operations to join our growing team in Charleston, South Carolina. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced operations leader who wants to play a key role in shaping the future of a growing organization. This individual will partner directly with the President to transform strategic vision into operational execution while helping build the systems, processes, accountability, and leadership infrastructure necessary to scale the business.
As Director of Operations, you'll serve as the operational hub of the company, partnering across Sales, Client Success, Carrier Sales, Finance, and Administration to ensure every department operates with clarity, accountability, and alignment. You'll lead strategic initiatives, improve business performance, strengthen communication across teams, and help build an organization where people and processes can thrive.

What you'll be expected to do:
- Partner with the CEO to execute strategic initiatives and company priorities
- Lead cross-functional projects that improve operational performance and scalability
- Develop, coach, and mentor leaders while fostering a culture of ownership and accountability
- Build, document, and continuously improve business processes and Standard Operating Procedures
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and reporting
- Improve systems, technology, and automation that increase efficiency and support growth
- Strengthen collaboration across Sales, Client Success, Carrier Sales, Finance, and Administration
- Remove operational bottlenecks and proactively solve business challenges
- Support annual planning, organizational development, and implementation of EOS
- Help build the operational infrastructure necessary for Reliance's long-term growth

What sets you up for success:
- Bachelor's degree required (MBA preferred)
- 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, logistics, transportation, distribution, or a related industry
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational improvement
- Strong leadership, coaching, and people development skills
- Experience implementing scalable systems, processes, and operational improvements
- Strong analytical skills with experience managing KPIs and business reporting
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Freight brokerage or third-party logistics experience is preferred but not required
- Experience with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) or similar operating systems is highly desirable
