Summary: The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics. This role focuses on executing efficient and reliable processes, supporting cost control efforts, and ensuring product availability across the business. The Supply Chain Manager works closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to maintain service levels, improve operational performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This position supervises the Senior Buyer and supports the development of scalable processes aligned with business needs.
Essential Duties of Position:
- Oversee daily supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory, warehousing, and logistics coordination
- Supervise and support the Senior Buyer, providing guidance on purchasing strategies, vendor management, and performance expectations
- Execute supply chain processes and support improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain service levels
- Support demand planning efforts by collaborating with operations and sales to align purchasing and inventory needs
- Monitor inventory levels, identify risks, and implement actions to minimize stockouts and excess inventory
- Manage vendor relationships, including pricing, performance, and issue resolution
- Support contract negotiations in partnership with leadership as needed
- Partner with warehouse and operations teams to ensure accurate inventory management and efficient material flow
- Coordinate logistics and transportation activities to support timely and cost-effective delivery
- Maintain compliance with applicable standards (ISO, internal policies) and support audit readiness
- Track and report on key supply chain metrics (inventory levels, vendor performance, service levels)
- Identify and implement process improvements within supply chain operations
- Collaborate with Fleet and Operations teams to align on delivery needs and operational priorities
- Any other duties as assigned by management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics operations
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (Acumatica); familiarity with WMS or TMS platforms is a plus
- Solid negotiation and vendor management skills
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to support operational efficiency
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally with internal teams
- Working knowledge of compliance standards (ISO preferred)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations management, business administration, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or related field (required)
- Prior experience in a supervisory or lead role (preferred)
