Position Overview
We are seeking a Client Specialist who will serve as the firm's primary service provider for clients who hold fixed-indexed annuities (FIAs) and/or indexed universal life (IUL) policies and who are not yet engaged in ongoing wealth-management relationships with an advisor.
This role is client-facing, highly relational, and ideal for someone who loves educating clients, reviewing policy performance, assisting with allocations, and providing consistent guidance and service - without the pressure of sales production.
You will conduct policy reviews, coordinate ongoing servicing needs, complete allocation changes, respond to carrier requests, and ensure clients experience the white-glove service that RFP is known for.
Though not an expectation of the role, for the right person, this position can also provide aprofessional growth pathway into the wealth management space over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for annuity and life-insurance clients who are not directly assigned to a wealth advisor.
- Conduct annuity and IUL policy reviews, explain features and performance, and provide recommendations for allocation changes based on firm guidelines.
- Submit allocation changes, complete servicing requests, and interface with insurance carriers to ensure timely processing.
- Assist clients with beneficiary updates, login assistance, performance questions, forms, withdrawals, RMD coordination, and general policy maintenance.
- Maintain accurate documentation, meeting notes, and service activity within our CRM.
- Identify opportunities when clients may benefit from a deeper planning relationship; refer these clients to an internal wealth advisor when appropriate.
- Provide white-glove service that reflects our standard of excellence: timely communication, clarity, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Support team operations through collaboration, proactive problem-solving, and ownership of client outcomes.
Compensation & Schedule
- This position requires in-office work Monday–Thursday and offers remote flexibility on Fridays.
- Base Salary: $55k/year - $60k/year depending on experience
- Referral Compensation: Additional earnings for any new assets uncovered through your conversations and referred to an internal wealth advisor
- Career Growth: Opportunity to move into advanced roles, including pathways into wealth management, if desired.
Who Thrives in This Role
This position is ideal for someone who:
- Has experience with fixed-indexed annuities (FIAs), MYGAs, and/or indexed universal life insurance (IULs)
- Enjoys helping clients with general, ongoing policy support and guidance
- Wants to be client-facing in a non-sales, service-focused role
- Is motivated by building relationships, educating clients, and strengthening long-term value
- Appreciates being part of a team that values extreme ownership, execution excellence, and living with intention
Required Qualifications
- Texas General Lines License for Life, Accident & Health
- Experience in annuities and/or life-insurance servicing, suitability, or allocations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex insurance concepts into simple terms
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client needs simultaneously
- Comfort speaking with clients directly and providing empathetic, proactive service
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, client-centric environment
