Reliable Equipment Manufacturing Co. in Ivyland, is currently looking for a Quality Inspection Technician to join our team. The hours for this position are 7 AM-3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Job Overview:
The quality inspection technician is responsible for measuring and verifying that parts and components match mechanical drawings and prints. The results of these measurements need to be recorded and documented. The technician will then review the part with the machinist or quality manager to share their approval or discuss the feature or item that was out of spec. This is a critical role that helps us provide good products to our customers.
Responsibilities and Duties
The responsibilities and duties of the quality technician are listed below.
- Knowledge of how to read mechanical drawings and prints and how to properly interpret symbols and dimensions.
- Good understanding and ability to demonstrate how to use basic measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, height stands, thread gauges and hardness testers.
- Good communication and an ability to work with others is important. We have a team atmosphere, and the technician will be responsible for discussing the results of their findings when inspecting a part. Within the team atmosphere we will often work together to come up with solutions to problems and communicate issues with the proper team members.
- Maintain the tracking, preventative maintenance, and inspection of measurement devices and various quality equipment and tools to qualify them for proper utilization.
- Inspect and identify that material from raw to finished goods are free of defects and meet customer requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications
- High school with focus in vo-tech
- Machinist apprenticeship or training, preferred.
- 1-2 years working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in quality assurance a plus
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and standards (GD&T, ISO:9001)
- Proficient in the use and setup of all industry standard inspection equipment.
- Computer skills and a good ability to learn software and computer-based technology (CMM machines)
- Attentive to detail – this position is often the last check before a product goes to the customer.

- Capable of lifting 35 lbs. (50 lbs. occasionally).

Salary : $38,900 - $49,200
