ABOUT THE JOB:
The Territory Sales Representative prospects, qualifies, and closes new customers by selling propane solutions within a specific geographic territory.
As a Territory Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving new business by developing and executing a strategic sales plan, with a focus on prospecting, lead conversions, in addition to creating and maintaining a sales pipeline. There is also a focus on retaining business from current commercial accounts. You’ll build long-lasting customer relationships through regular communication and exceptional service.
Staying up to date on market trends and competitor activities, you will provide solutions, prepare competitive quotes, and negotiate terms that meet customer needs while maximizing profitability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution, maintain accurate sales records, and consistently meet performance goals through time management.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Growth & Prospecting: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive new business, focusing on outbound prospecting (40%), inbound lead conversion (30%), and account development.
- Pipeline Building: Maintain and grow sales by identifying top prospects, market segments, and industries.
- Customer Relationships: Build long-lasting partnerships by understanding customer needs, recommend solutions and deliver service.
- Market & Product Analysis: Stay informed on market trends and activities. Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities.
- Selling: Employ a sales approach that offers competitive pricing and value.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed sales records and generate performance reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations and customer support, to deliver a seamless customer experience. Provide leadership and support to team members when needed.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum three (3) years of successful B2B Sales
- Ability to travel 50% to conduct field visits with customers (little to no overnight travel)
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Skilled in using the Microsoft Office suite, Teams and Zoom for video calls and meetings
Compensation: Base pay plus a competitive commission structure

Individual rates are based on a variety of factors such as degrees or certifications, skill-level and years of experience, and include considerations such as expected overtime and variable compensation pay such as bonuses or commission.
